Summary PCB has included name of young bowler Usman Salahuddin in the stipend category of central contract.

A committee comprising Mohsin Hasan Khan, Intikhab Alam and Zakir Khan – formed to recommend players for central contracts –has recommended addition of Salahuddin to the list of players who were given central contracts last week,” said a spokesman for the PCB. With addition of Salahuddin in the list, the total number of central contracted players has now become 29.Born on December 2, 1990 in Lahore, Salahuddin established himself as a mainstay in the Pakistan Under-19 team’s middle order and remained the team’s top scorer in the one-day series against England in 2007.The subsequent home one-day matches against Australia saw him remain unconquered in three innings, with a best of 68 not on just 50 balls. He was selected to play against the West Indies for the May 2011 series. He averages 48 in List A cricket and 41 in first-class cricket.
