LAHORE (Dunya News) – Preparations for the 12th ICC cricket World Cup are in a full swing as PCB has finalized a 13 member squad for mega event.
According to the reports, thirteen out of fifteen cricketers have been finalized and there is still a tie between Muhammad Hafeez and Asif Ali.
The players finalized include, openers Fakhar Zaman, Imamul haq and young Abid Ali. All-rounders include Faheem Ashraf, Shadab khan and Imad Waseem. Babar Azam, Haris sohail, Shoib Malik and Captain sarfaraz would keep the middle order in flow.Pacers include Hassan Ali, Muhammad Amir and Shaheen Afridi.
There is still a competition between Muhammad Husnain and Usman Shinwari.
PCB would announce a final squad after a fitness test on April 18.
Pakistan would start its mission World Cup against West Indies. The super game of mega event would be played on June 15 between the south Asian rivals India and Pakistan. Australia is the defending champion.
