Summary The Zalmi Madrasa League is being held in Arbab Niaz Stadium, Peshawar.

(Web Desk) - Zalmi Madrasa League Day 2 ends with triumph for some and disappointment for others, as we saw 10 teams compete with each other.

The 2nd day of the Zalmi Madrasa League witnessed some thrilling encounters between the teams with Al Wahda Hitters, Al Haq Smashers, Al Fatah Record Setters and Al Nujoom Risers winning their matches on the 2nd day of the league and progressed to the next rounds. The players were super excited and they played with passion and energy as they know they are closing towards the big day. Madrasa Students have fully utilized the opportunity given to them as the performances we saw today were spectacular.

In the 1st match, Al Nujoom Risers won by 7 wickets as they chased 82 with the loss of 3 wickets. Umar scored 30 and Sabir scored 29 runs with Luqman taking 3 wickets for 17 runs. In the 2nd match, Al Fatah won by 8 wickets after they restricted Al Mutahidoon for 56 runs.

They chased the target comfortably with the loss of 2 wickets with Naimat Ullah scoring 24 runs and Amir 22. Naimat Ullah also took 3 wickets for 4 runs and took his team to victory.

In the 3rd match, Al Haq Smashers continued their perfect form as they thrashed Al Hilal Challengers by 10 wickets. They chased the target of 48 comfortably with 10 wickets in hand. Ibad and Nadeem were unbeaten at 22* and 19* respectively.

In the 4th match, which happened to be the most thrilling match of the day, Al Wahda Hitters scored 183 runs with Farooq playing the innings of the day of 79*. M Jalil scored 46 runs as well. Al Khair succumbed to the outstanding bowling of Taimoor, who took 2/5 and Atiq, who grabbed a single wicket. They were restricted to 37 and Al Wahda won by a huge margin of 146 runs. The highest of the tournament until now.

The Zalmi Madrasa League is being held in Arbab Niaz Stadium, Peshawar with the Semi-Finals and Final being held on the 31st of August, 2018. 12 teams are competing against each other for the final prize.
