LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan left-arm fast bowler Mohammad Irfan has filed a petition in the Lahore High Court (LHC) for removal of his name from the Exit Control List (ECL).

The tall pacer has named interior ministry and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) the other members in his application. Irfan opted the stance that he has served his ban, therefore, his name should be taken out of ECL which was put in the list six month ago. He told the court that he wants to travel to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah.

It is worth mentioning here that Mohammad Irfan was banned for one year by PCB in spot-fixing case as he failed to timely report the bookies’ offers to anti-corruption unit (ACU) during the second edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL). The suspension was later reduced to six months by the governing body and Irfan is now eligible to once again play for Pakistan.
