Summary Pollard and Malik released by Karachi Kings, Wasim Akram already director cricket operations of MS

(Web Desk) – The new franchise in Pakistan Super League (PSL), Multan Sultans, has roped in Shoaib Malik, Kumar Sangakkara and Keiron Pollard in the team for the third annual edition of the T20 cricket tournament.

While Malik and Pollard were released by Karachi Kings, Multan Sultans’ initial lineup looks admirable with the likes of exciting players. In pacers, the franchise has included Sohail Tanvir, Junaid Khan and Mohammad Irfan.

It was earlier told that Rawalpindi Express Shoaib Akhtar and Swing of Sultan Wasim Akram had joined team in the capacities of mentor and director cricket operations. The younger players will include Irfan Khan, Kashif Bhatti and Sohaib Maqsood.

The senior players including Malik and Pollard have retained platinum category while Tanvir and Sangakkara are in diamond category. Irfan and Junaid in gold while Maqsood, Bhatti and Irfan Khan in silver category.

The addition of sixth franchise in PSL 3 will surely add more drama and element of surprise in the tournament.
