LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided not to support Ten Cricket League scheduled to be played in United Arab Emirates (UAE), and to not allow any national cricketer to feature in the tournament.
PCB Chairman Najam Sethi said the T10 league may affect Pakistan Super League (PSL), and the players will not be allowed to participate in any international league that might have a negative impact on our own product.
Sethi told that there is no legal status of this league, and PCB has taken the correct stance in this matter. PCB chief also made it clear that no-objection certificate (NOC) will not be issued to any player to play the T10 league.
Let it be known that no proper schedule has been issued so far for the tournament, but according to media reports the league will be held at the start of next year and will clash with PSL matches.
Team Punjabis, Team Pakhtoons, Team Maratha, Team Banglas, Team Lankans, Team Sindhis and Team Keralites are seven of the teams that will feature in the tournament consisting of 10-over-per-side matches with 90 minutes of action.
PCB has also made it clear that the third edition of PSL will be played according to plan, and no changings will be made in the schedule.
