Summary Going to Lahore will feel like I am going home: Elliott

(Web Desk) – In an interview with New Zealand Herald, Grant Elliott said on Saturday that if no one felt safe, no one would be going to Pakistan for the World XI series.

Elliott talked to the media outlet about upcoming series in Pakistan that is scheduled to begin on September 12.

"We get the reports from all the relevant agencies such as FICA (Federation of International Cricket Associations) and independent security firms," he said.

"These are small steps in returning cricket to Pakistan on a more permanent basis. It s sad for them that they never play at home. They always talk about it with such passion. I think we can expect enthusiastic crowds,” Elliott added.

Earlier this week he said that going to Lahore will feel like I am going home, said Elliot.

The cricketer hoped that this step will help in the revival of international cricket in Pakistan.

The World XI will play three Twenty20s dubbed as the Independence Cup against Pakistan in Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on September 12, 13 and 15.
