LAHORE (Roznama Dunya)- Former English captain Mike Brearley has called for extraordinary measures to save plummeting quality of test cricket in Pakistan as audience in cricket-mad nation continues to lose interest in the longer format of game.

Brearley, in a statement, said that crowd-pleasing T20 format has posed great threats to existence of test cricket and the later format is moving towards its inevitable end in countries like Pakistan, New Zeeland, West Indies and South Africa as audience for this format of cricket is contracting rapidly.
