LONDON (Dunya News) – India have Sunday won the toss against South Africa and elected to bowl in the virtual ‘quarter-final’ of the Champions Trophy, as the losing team will be knocked out of the tournament.
India skipper Virat Kohli, who made one change in the team by bringing back Ashwin for Umesh due to three left-handers in SA team, said after winning the toss that teams generally like chasing.
Virat said bowling first gives us a chance to do what we need to do when we come out to bat. When you bat second, you know what you need to do, he added.
South Africa captain AB de Villiers said bowling first is probably not a bad thing, but he is happy to bat and excited to get a score. AB said we have seen some good scoring here, and it is up to our batters to communicate really well to understand what is a good score. South Africa also made one change, as Andile Phehlukwayo comes in for Wayne Parnell.
