Summary Sarfraz Ahmed could lead Test squad after Misbah retires: PCB Chairman
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board, Shehryar Khan has said on Friday that the proceedings of probe of Pakistan Super League 2017 fixing scandal would not be kept from media and would be made public.
In a reaction to Jamshed Khan’s video plea, the PCB chief said that the cricketers is running away from the board and nothing would be kept from the nation in fixing probe of the league.

Proceedings of the tribunal in their entirety would be brought into notice of the media and the people, he said. While talking about Misbah’s retirement, Shehryar Khan said that Sarfraz Ahmed could lead the Test squad.
Misbah is to lead Pakistan in forthcoming Test series against West Indies. Misbah has announced to retire in Test format after WI series.
Second installment of Pakistan Super League in 2017 was hit with a fixing scandal right after the first match in Dubai on February 9 after which Khalid Latif and Sharjeel Khan were summoned back by the board to Pakistan and slapped with suspensions.
Muhammad Irfan, pacer of Islamabad United who also holds the central contract admitted to his mistake last month and went on record to say that he should have informed the court when bookies attempted to approach him.
He was provisionally suspended for a year and fined Rs 1 million.
Former national cricketers Shoaib Akhtar, Wasim Akhtar among others censured the national players for involvement in activities that brought bad name to the country.
However, anti-corruption unit of the cricket board is pursuing probe against national players over allegations that surfaced in PSL 2017. So far, five players have been charged in PSL 2017 fixing probe.
