(Web Desk) – David Warner of Sunrisers Hyderabad flouted the ICC rules in a match against Mumbai Indians in Indian Premier League 2017 as he faced a delivery when he was supposed to be at the non-striker’s end.
Jasprit Bumrah of Mumbai Indians delivered the last ball of his over which Warner played for a four taking Sunrisers to 34 for 0 in 6.0 overs.
Shikhar Dhawan at the non-striker’s end who was supposed to kickoff the next over delivered by Mitchell McClenaghan, did not face the ball letting Warner continue.
The Australian vice-captain faced McClenaghan while S. Dhawan remained at the non-striker’s end without attempting to object to the violation.
Cricket fans across the nation and followers internationally have denounced the act and questioned the monitoring, competence of umps and efficiency of the rules body over the incident.
