COLOMBO (Web Desk) - Sri Lanka beat Bangladesh by six wickets in the first of their two-match Twenty20 International series in Colombo on Tuesday.

Kusal Perera struck 77 off 53 balls as Sri Lanka reached 158-4 in 18.5 overs after restricting Bangladesh to 155-6 at R. Premadasa Stadium. Kusal Perera was announced as the Man of the Match for brilliant knock.

Lasith Malinga took two wickets Tamim Iqbal and Mahmudullah for 38 runs in his four-over spell. Amongst Bangladeshi bowlers, only Mashrafe Mortaza got two wickets for 32 runs in his four overs.
