Summary No player involved in corruption should ever be allowed to represent the country: Afridi
(Web Desk) – Former skipper Shahid Afridi has expressed displeasure over possible return of Salman Butt to the national squad, one of the three national players convicted of match-fixing in 2010.
Afridi is displeased over reports suggesting Butt may have a comeback in the national squad in coming future.
He said that no player involved in corruption should ever be allowed to represent the country internationally.
He complained that had Pakistan Cricket Board set an example out of the fixing scandal in 2010, the recent incident during Pakistan Super League 2017 would not have brought dishonor to the nation.
Salman Butt was leading the team in series against England in 2010 when Mohammad Amir and Muhammad Asif besides him were convicted of delivering deliberate no-balls.
