KARACHI (Web Desk) - Limited-overs skipper Sarfraz Ahmed has said that the team will suffer due to Sharjeel Khan’s suspension but new players would surely fill his space.

Talking to media, Sarfraz said that Sharjeel was the type of player who we needed as he was perfect for the contemporary run-and-gun style of cricket.

"He isn’t with us anymore so of course it will affect us but I have full faith in the newcomers and they will translate their domestic form at international level," said the Pakistan skipper.

He further said that winning from West Indies to qualify directly for upcoming World Cup is a big challenge. He also advised Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Amir to perform better.

It may be mentioned here that Sharjeel Khan, Khalid Latif, Shahzaib Hasan, Irfan were suspended for allegedly meeting the bookie soon after the inaugural PSL match between Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United in Dubai.
