Summary Skipper Misbah-ul-Haq won the toss and asked Karachi Kings to bat on Sharjah track

SHARJAH (Dunya News) - In the second play-off of PSL final, it s the defending champions Islamabad United that will face Karachi Kings at Sharjah. 

Skipper Misbah-ul-Haq won the toss and asked Karachi Kings to bat first on an apparently batting-friendly Sharjah pitch. 

The losing team would have to say pip pip to PSL while the winning team will play Peshawar Zalmi in the third play-off.

Shadab came into ball in the eleventh over as Shoaib Malik thrashed him for four more through point. A total of 8 runs came of the eleventh over. Watson removed the skipper as he produced a brilliant short ball while Sangakkara handed over an eas y catch to Misbah.

Meanwhile, the youngster Shadab bowled a brilliant over as only three runs were conceded of his nwxt over. Bopara thrashed one away for four more of the last ball of Watson’s over that was fourteenth of the innings.

Irfan also continued to bowl as only single and doubles came of the fifteenth over. The next over didn’t bring good news for the Kings as both Bopara and Shoaib Malik departed in the same over. Shoaib Malik got run out while Bopara was caught by Shadab Khan of the bowling of Watson.
Imad Wasim pummeled one away for a huge six in the seventeenth over of the bowling of Rumman however the left arm medium pacer came strongly as only 2 runs came of the next five balls.

Muhammad Sami went for 8 runs in the eighteenth over as eight runs came of eighteenth over. In the penultimate over, the exceptional Rumman exhibited some brilliant bowling skills as he took three wickets in one over and giving just three runs in the process of doing so.

Meanwhile, Sami also took two wickets in the last over as whole of the Karachi team was in the pavilion even when there were two balls to spare. Islamabad United had to chase 127 in the allotted over.

The starts of the proceedings for Karachi Kings were really slow as not even a single run was scored in the first two overs. Irfan and Sami bowled maiden overs each as Babar Azam and Chris Gayle didn’t take a chance in the first two overs.

However, it was in the third over when Babar Azam took the charge and thumped the tall left arm bowler for four consecutive boundaries as 18 runs came of the over.

Rumman Raees came to bowl in the fourth over and went away for seven runs as Babar Azam also pummeled one away for a boundary in his over.

Chris Gayle also took the charge in the fifth over as he thrashed two boundaries of Muhammad Sami bowling while fetching 10 runs in the over.

After being hit for a huge six by Chris Gayle, Rumman came strongly in the sixth over while knocking hi m over.

In the next over, Babar Azam was also trapped plumb in front of the stumps by the brilliant Shadab Khan as the batsmen completely missed the googly. Shadab not only removed the dangerous Babar Azam but also conceded just 3 runs in the over. Meanwhile, Muhamamd Irfan also bowled a brilliant over while giving away just three runs.

In the ninth over, Shadab Khan was thumped for two boundaries by Sangakkara and Shoaib Malik as nine runs came of the over.

Watson was also hit for a boundary in the tenth over as he also went away for nine runs in the over.
