LAHORE (Dunya News) – Shoaib Akhtar, former national pacer has asserted on Wednesday that Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif should be thankful to Pakistan Cricket Board for their timely exit from Dubai else wise both of them would have been in jail there in spot fixing scandal.

Statement of Akhtar has come in over a spot fixing scandal involving Islamabad United’s Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif in Pakistan Super League 2017, a probe into which is underway.

In a media talk, the former fast bowler lambasted the two accused by saying that guidance and training educates youngsters over rightful earnings and those that are morally weak.

He said that both the PSL players who also have national contracts would have been sentenced to five to ten years at least in United Arab Emirates. He claimed that once the issue is taken to court, a new Pandora’s Box would open.
