Summary PSL 2017 in the second installment of Pakistan's successful transnational cricket fixture
DUBAI (Dunya News) – The highly anticipated second edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) has kicked off with a grand opening ceremony in Dubai on Thursday.
The ceremony started with blasting Pakistani national anthem followed by captains of all five teams lifting ‘The Spirit Trophy amidst spectacular display of fireworks.

The opening ceremony featured glitzy performances by pop-star Ali Zafar, Shehzad Roy among others.
Jamaican music star Shaggy first took the stage to kickstart the celebrations at Dubai Sports City. Roy was the second in the line-up to perform for a packed stadium.

“It is great to be here and I look forward to performing at the ceremony, it should be an exciting affair and the Pakistan cricket fans will surely enjoy the spectacle. I have a long association with Chris Gayle while Courtney Walsh was my neighbour in Jamaica,” Shaggy spoke to the audience.
Ali Zafar, being the showstopper was the closing act of the night.

While addressing the gathering, Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board, Shehryar Khan announced that final match of Pakistan Super League 2017 would be played in Lahore, Pakistan.
Najam Sethi, Chairman of the franchise congratulated the management over successfully venturing into second installment of the league.
