KARNATAKA (Dunya News) – Pakistan on Wednesday complied record stack of runs to beat West Indies (WI) by massive 182 runs at Karnataka State Cricket Association Ground, Alur.
Pakistan broke their own previous record to set new one with 373 runs on scorecard.
Batting first, green shirts set WI 374, highest score in Blind World Cup T20, to win but later wobbled on just 191 runs.
Muhammad Jamil set tone early by smashing century off just 36 balls which included 20 fours. He left the field after being retired hut. An energetic blow by Riasat Khan kept momentum of the innings up. Riasat scored 94 runs of 32 balls hitting nine fours and two sixes.
Other valuable contributions included an unbeaten 46 and 32 by Mohammad Zafar and Mohsin Khan respectively while Matiullah (27) and Amir Ishfaq (24) also made meaningful contribution to the team’s record total.
Pakistan’s record scorecard was also aided by 40 extras.
In their reply, WI only managed to score 191-9 in their allotted 20 overs.
