WELLINGTON (AFP) - Bangladesh declared their first innings at 595-8 on the third morning of the first Test against New Zealand at the Basin Reserve in Wellington on Saturday.

Sabbir Rahman was not out on 54, the fifth player to reach a half century in an innings headlined by Shakib Al Hasan s 217.

It is the second highest innings in Bangladesh history behind the 638 posted in the first innings against Sri Lanka in a drawn Test in Galle four years ago.
