Summary The 34-year-old cricketer is in Australia for five one-day internationals (ODIs) against Australia.
(Dunya News) – Pakistan left-arm pace bowler and world’s tallest cricketer Mohammad Irfan’s mother has passed away Monday.
The 34-year-old cricketer is in Australia for the five one-day internationals (ODIs) against Australia and will fly back home in the first available flight, confirmed Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) spokesperson.
Irfan, whose father had died last year before Pakistan Super League (PSL) final, made his last appearance for Pakistan at international level in September, 2016 against England.
However, Irfan worked hard on his fitness afterwards in domestic circuit and bowled more than 150 overs in the Quaid-e-Azam trophy.
He also guided his side Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) to the title taking 21 wickets in six games and was eventually recalled to national side due to his strong performance.
Pakistan are yet to announce Irfan s replacement, but they already have four fast bowlers Mohammad Amir, Wahab Riaz, Rahat Ali and Hasan Ali.
The ODI series between Pakistan and Australia will start from January 13 and the first match will be played in Brisbane.
