LAHORE (Daily Dunya) – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has given green signal to wicketkeeper batsman Kamran Akmal for the inclusion in the one-day international squad.

According to sources, the player would be participating in ODI series against Australia for which he has also submitted visa application.

Earlier, Kamran Akmal had requested the Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif, who is also the Patron-in-Chief of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), to consider his name for the national team.

He said that he played outstandingly in domestic cricket and deserves a chance to comeback in Pakistan team.

Kamran Akmal had displayed exceptional batting skills in the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam Trophy and his team, WAPDA, had qualified for the final match.

He was also the top run-scorer of the tournament with over a thousand runs, five centuries and three half-centuries in eight matches.
