Summary West Indies series is important for the ranking of Pakistan, says Sarfraz Ahmed.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Twenty20 captain Sarfraz Ahmed urged the team to play fearlessly and confidently against West Indies in upcoming T20 series in Dubai.

Exclusively talking in Dunya News program Cricket Deewangi, Sarfraz Ahmed said that national players have worked really hard to claim the victory against West Indies.

“Series is important for the ranking of Pakistan while new committee is very cooperative and boosting the morale of the players”, he said.

Responding to a question, the star batsman appreciated former T20 captain Shahid Afridi and expressed wish that the legendary player would leave the cricket in a respectful manner.

“Shahid Afridi has served a lot in the field of cricket. He is still fit and playing cricket. Afridi deserves to be given an honorable farewell”, he added.

Sarfraz Ahmed also recalled a meeting with Imran Khan in a unique way.

Earlier, Pakistan cricket team arrived in Dubai for T20 series against West Indies.

First clash of tri-series would be held on September 23 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, the second match would be played on September 24 while the third face-off would be organized on September 27 at Sheikh Zayed Stadium.
