Irfan suffers hamstring injury in fourth ODI against England

Summary Selection committee and Pakistan Cricket Board have received a lot of flak for poor performance

LONDON (Dunya News) – Muhammad Irfan, fast paced bowler suffered a hamstring injury in Leeds One-Day International against England, fourth of the five-match series.

In his second spell, Irfan bowled a wide and complained about aching thigh after which he was called off the pitch.

Pakistan went on to lose the match by four wickets.

It should be noted here that Irfan was flown from Pakistan to England after Muhammad Hafeez was declared unfit midway during the ODI series.

Medics are yet to confirm whether Irfan will be able to play Twenty20 match against the host team following the fifth and last ODI or not.

Pakistan leveled Test series of four matches against England with two wins and two losses prior to ODI format. However, the green shirts have performed dismal in ODI series with 4-0 so far.

Selection committee and Pakistan Cricket Board have received a lot of flak for the questionable performance of the green eleven against England.

Wasim Akram, former Pakistan captain and bowling coach of Kolkata Knight Riders of Indian Premier League has recommended to replace Azhar Ali with Sarfraz as ODI captain for best results.
