LAHORE (Dunya News) - Former Pakistani Test player Aaqib Javed on Monday has refused to serve as Bangladesh’s bowling coach.
Sources told that Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) approached Aaqib Javed to become team s bowling coach but he refused the offer due to his services for cricket in Pakistan.
"We have contacted Aaqib Javed. Our CEO Nizam Uddin Chowdhury told me we will get a yes or no answer by the day after tomorrow," Hassan said in a press conference on Sunday.
Recently, Aaqib Javed was appointed as director for Lahore Qalandars in Pakistan Super League while he is also likely to be the bowling consultant for national team.
Earlier, former bowler Aaqib Javed resigned from coaching post of United Arab Emirates (UAE) team.
He was appointed as coach to UAE team in 2012 that performed stunningly in Asia Cup under his guidance.
