Summary Abbas would discontinue his services as ICC President on July 27
KARACHI (Dunya News) – An auspicious ceremony had been arranged in honour of former International Cricket Council’s (ICC) President Zaheer Abbas as he was also awarded with a gold medal for his performance throughout the year, reported Dunya News on Sunday.
On this occasion, Abbas said that he tried to convince people over his stance but India was a bigger stakeholder in ICC, so the board considered weighed their opinion.
He expressed disappointment over cricketers’ poor performance and said that there would be a time when national team will have to strive for World Cup qualifying rounds.
Abbas will discontinue his services as ICC President on July 27.
