LAHORE (Dunya News) – Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday accepted plea against the unmerited appointments of 37 senior officers in Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for hearing.
The hearing was conducted by Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah during which the petitioner Muhammad Naeem filed his plea through Advocate Abdul Ghafoor.
The plea has adopted the stance that PCB had made appointments of 37 officers including chief operating officer Subhan Ahmed out of merit whereas no advertisement was published in the newspaper regarding it.
The petitioner has claimed that favoritism has been done and PCB rolls have not been implemented while appointing the officers therefore; the appointments should be declared void.
The court after reviewing the plea issued notices to chairman PCB and sports minister and has also directed them to submit a written reply till May 26.
