FAISALABAD (Dunya News) – Punjab team won the toss and elected to field first against Balochistan in an opener match of Pakistan Cup, a 50-over domestic event, being played at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad today (Tuesday).
Both teams have stepped onto the pitch with enthusiasm of winning the match.
Proper arrangements have also been ensured while the authorities have also directed to monitor the whole tournament that will conclude on May 1.
Punjab led by star all-rounder Shoaib Malik. Malik’s squad includes left-handed opening batsmen Shan Masood and Salman Butt. Mohammad Rizwan, Asad Shafiq, Zulfiqar Babar, Ehsan Adil and Saad Nasim are also playing for Punjab in the tournament. The team is coached by former Pakistan wicket-keeper Atiq uz Zaman and Mautashim Rashid.
Balochistan led by Pakistan ODI skipper Azhar Ali includes Babar Azam, Junaid Khan, Umar Akmal, Saeed Ajmal, Sohail Tanvir, Umar Gul and Bilawal Bhatti. Ijaz Ahmed and Taimur Azam are coaching the Balochistan side.
