Rashid Latif once again offered chief selector's job: sources

Summary PCB is facing difficulty in finding a person for chief selector's post.

LAHORE (Web Desk) – Amid ongoing hunt for new chief selector for Pakistan cricket team, former captain Rashid Latif has been once again offered to take up the charge, sources told Dunya News on Friday.

Latif played 37 Tests and 166 ODIs in a career that spanned 11 years. He last played in 2003 and since than has been engaged with the game, running a cricket academy in Karachi. 

Former cricketers Mohsin Khan and Iqbal Qasim have already refused to become chief selectors while Inzamaul Haq’s name has also surfaced during the Pakistan Cricket Board’s annual session.

According to sources, Inzamam is also strong candidate for chief selector’s post, however, the former Pakistan veteran batsman has not been formally informed regarding the decision.

Rumours pertaining to names of Bazid Khan and Muhammad Waseem for chief selector’s post are also circulating.
