LAHORE (Dunya News) – Former Pakistani Test player Aaqib Javed has decided not to apply for the post of Head coach of the Pakistani cricket team. The post became vacant after former coach Waqar Younis announced his retirement on April 4, reported Dunya News.

The former fast bowler expressed his reservations ever since the post became vacant. Javed was of the view that the selection committee is biased therefore he will not be submitting his application.

He added that he even intimated Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) of his availability when the board inquired from him.

Javed said that he has no conflicts with former captains Rameez Raja and Wasim Akram but he decided not to apply for the designation of Head coach after the former two expressed their thoughts regarding taking services of a foreign player as the coach for the team.
