KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan cricket team’s management expressed its utmost discontentment with opener Ahmed Shehzad and middle-order batsman Umar Akmal over their dismal performance during Pakistan’s encounter with New Zealand on Tuesday, reported Dunya News.
Team manager Intikhab Alam scolded the two players stating that they played for their own, not for the country.
Coach Waqar Younis also expressed his anger, asking that “why didn’t you (two) score any boundaries?” adding that “you think that the entire nation and all of us don’t know what is going on?”
Pakistan succumbed to New Zealand on Tuesday in the group match of the two sides by 22 runs.
