Summary Team will reach India tomorrow evening, will miss one warm-up match says PCB Chairman

LAHORE (Web Desk) - Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Shahryar Khan while addressing a press conference on Friday announced that the Pakistani cricket team has been allowed to visit India to participate in the ICC World T20 2016, reported Dunya News.

Shahryar said that earlier he contacted Najam Sethi, Chief Executive PCB governing body regarding the matter. He said that the team will leave for India on the evening of March 11. He further added that the entire Pakistani nation wanted the team to participate in the mega event.

PCB Chairman also said that that consent of the players of the Pakistani team was also taken into account for participation in the event. The team will reach Kolkata tomorrow (March 12) and will practice there.

He said that the team will miss one warm-up match however, Pakistan will play its first warm-up game against Sri Lanka on Sunday.

Shahryar stated that Indian journalists also endorsed Pakistan s stance regarding effective security measures for the team.

He also hoped that the bilateral series between India and Pakistan will also resume in the near future, paving way for cricket between the two countries to be played as it was before.
