Summary Party leaders against Indo-Pak match at World T20, state India should play with friendly countries
NEW DELHI (Dunya News) – Various leaders of India’s Aam Aadmi Party have opposed the idea of India playing against Pakistan in an upcoming fixture in the World T20, reported Dunya News.
Party leaders are of the view that playing against Pakistan is similar to adding insult to injury and that India should play cricket only with countries it has friendly relations with.
Prior to the publicising of this stance from the party, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister (CM) Virbhadra Singh also opposed the idea of India and Pakistan playing against one another.
At a time when the Indian government is making claims to provide foolproof security to the Pakistani side during the upcoming World T20, such extremist statements from the political parties and prominent personalities from India is making the entire situation uncertain.
