MIRPUR (Dunya News) – Confident Pakistan players are all set to face host Bangladesh in an important match of ongoing Asia Cup at Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur today (Wednesday).

The match will start at 6:30 PST.

The green shirts will step onto the pitch with enthusiasm to clinch the victory to stay in the tournament.

Talking about the key batsmen in both teams, Pakistan’s Umar Akmal smashed 50 runs against United Arab Emirates (UAE) while Sabbir Rahman in Bangladesh has hit 80 runs against Sri Lanka.

All-rounder Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan can depress the national team whereas Pakistani Shoaib Malik can also give befitting response.

On bowling side, Pakistan’s energetic Mohammad Amir is ready to stun the audience but Bangladesh have all the hopes with experienced Al-Amin Hossain who had performed outstandingly in previous matches.

Star player Kamran Akmal stated that pitch is not appropriate for batting while today’s match is do-or-die for Pakistan.

He lauded the batting of Shoaib Malik and Umar Akmal and stated that they had played responsibly against Sri Lanka. He said that bowling of Bangladesh is weak while batting is outstanding.

Meanwhile, team manager Intikhab Alam vowed to perform well to play final against India after beating Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
