Summary Ramiz Raja observed 'moment of silence' for Karachi Kings after they were beaten by Islamabad United

LAHORE: (Web Desk) - Former Pakistan captain, and star commentator, Ramiz Raja on Saturday joined the Lahore-Karachi cricket wars that are going on these days when he observed silence for Karachi instead of commenting on the game that they lost against Islamabad United.

Karachi Kings had played their only playoff against Islamabad United upon winning which they could have qualified for another playoff against much more in-form Peshawar Zalmi. However, they couldn t survive even the easier test against Islamabad United, in fact scored the lowest total of the tournament till date, 111. Islamabad United chased down the total with 9 wickets in hand and 5.4 overs to spare.

Kings were bashed by the analysts and fans alike for having failed to impress the masses with their cricket despite being the most expensive team of Pakistan Super League (PSL). It is pertinent to mention here that Karachi Kings had won only two games out of their eight in the tournament to qualify for the playoffs, beating Lahore Qalandars in the race only due to the fact that both of their victories had come against Qalandars and thus qualified on the basis of one-on-one record.

However, they lost the first game of the playoffs and also saw their exit from the tournament. Trolling them for their performance, Ramiz Raja observed a  moment of silence  for Karachi Kings after their game against Islamabad United.
