SHARJAH (Dunya News) – Emotions ran high Sunday in the 17th match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) T20 between Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi. Sharjah’s cricket stadium turned into an apparent fighting ring as renowned cricketers of the national team Wahab Riaz and Ahmed Shehzad scuffled with one another. Both star sportsmen have been fined for the ruckus. Riaz will be paying 40% of the match fee while Shehzad will be paying up 30%.
According to the details, charged emotions got the best of both players when Ahmed Shehzad thrashed Wahab Riaz’s delivery for a massive six on the first ball of the fifth over. Exasperated by the shot, Riaz quickly bounced back and cleaned bowled Shehzad on the next thunderous delivery.
Charged with anger and enthusiasm of the wicket, Riaz displayed a fury which greatly irked Shehzad and the batsman shoved the bowler. Both players also exchanged some hot words as well.
This is not the first time Shehzad has violated the disciplinary conduct, having been dropped from the squad several times for his demeanor while bowler Riaz’s similar approach was seen during his aggressive bowling attack against Australian batsman Shane Watson.
