Summary Afridi-led Peshawar Zalmi beat Misbah's Islamabad United by 24 runs.

DUBAI: (Dunya News) - Peshawar Zalmi chose to bat in the third match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) T20 as skipper Shahid Afridi won the toss, reported Dunya News.

According to the details, the third match of PSL T20 was played in Dubai International Cricket Stadium between Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United. Peshawar Zalmi had won the toss and chose to bat.

Peshawar Zalmi made a confident start, but were losing wickets which hurt their pace. Tamim Iqbal played the part of the anchor and kept his cool while other batsmen kept losing their wickets in regular intervals. He made 51 runs off 51 balls. In the end, Zalmi finished with a competitive total of 145 runs with a loss of 7 wickets.

Islambad United repeated their performance of previous match by losing quick wickets in short intervals. Excellent bowling by Zalmi pacers never let them breathe easily. Wahab took 3 wickets while Tait took 2. In the end, Zalmi clinched an easy victory by 24 runs.

A 150-member delegation of the children of Army Public School were also present in the stadium supporting their team Peshawar Zalmi.

Overs 12.3: Ashar Zaidi fails to give support to the tumbling United batting, catch behind off Shaun Tait s bowling. United at 70/6.

Overs 10.5: MISBAH goes!!! Muhammad Asghar takes away another gem from Islamabad United. United at 66/5.

Overs 8.4: Wahab takes Watson. Watson who was not looking confident before Wahab finally hits one straight into Hafeez s hands who makes no mistake at the Point. United at 55/4.

Overs 5.4: United lost another one, Umer Amin loses wicket to Muhammad Asghar. United following in footsteps of the last match. United at 37/3

Overs 3.3: Babar Azam finally caught after wasting 8 balls with no run. United 30/2

Overs 3: Initial wicket forces United on the back foot. Watson putting runs to the innings with confident batting. United at 27/1.

Overs 0.5: Shaun Tait clean bowled Sharjeel Khan. United bears first loss of the innings in first over. United at 9/1

Overs 20: United bowlers reduced Zlami to a decent total. Zalmi finishes at 145/7.

Overs 18.2: Tamim Iqbal caught by Watson, Russel on hat-trick. Zalmi at 125/6

Overs 18.1: Afridi falls for it, goes for a six but could not connect well, caught and bowled by Russel. Zalmi 125/5.

Overs 17: Shahid Afridi paces the innings for Peshawar Zalmi, Zalmi moving towards making a decent total. Zalmi at 119/4.

Overs 14.1: Peshawar Zalmi lost its fourth wicket as Shahid Yousuf gave his wicket away off Russel s bowling. Afridi comes in. Zalmi at 88/4.

Overs 10: Peshawar Zalmi steadily moving towards making a big total. Zalmi at 58/3.

Overs 7.5: Kamran Akmal initially looked confident against Ajmal but Ajmal got the better of him finally. Zalmi at 43/3.

Overs 5.2: Dawid Malan gave a soft catch to Watson off Ruman Raees s ball, Zalmi that started in pace looks careful now. Zalmi at 22/2.

Overs 1.5: Hafeez started the innings with confidence but soon lost his wicket by giving away a catch behind the wicket off Sam Billings bowling, Zalmi at 18/1.
