DUBAI (Dunya News) – After the disastrous performance of Pakistan against Sri Lanka at Colombo Test, International Cricket Council announced the new Test players ranking on Tuesday.
Veteran Sri Lankan batsman Kumara Sangakkara topped the batsmen ranking while Sri Lankan captain Angelo Mathews improved in ranking and attained the status of the third best batsman in the world.
National team captain Misbah ul Haq deteriorated to the 10th position while Younis Khan did not achieve any position in the league of the top ten batsmen. This happened due to the failure at the second Test match against Sri Lanka.
Sarfaraz Ahmad and Ahmad Shahzad improved in rankings, 29 and 11 respectively, whereas England’s Joe Root upgraded to the ninth position.
Rangana Herath, who crushed Pakistan’s batting during the second Test match, became the third best Test bowler in the world. Saeed Ajmal, the magician, deteriorated to the ninth position.
