Summary Japan will give $3.7million to Pakistan for establishment of scientific development programs.
In this regard, a special celebration was held in Islamabad in which Secretary Economic Affairs Division Dr Waqar Masood represented Pakistan while Japanese Ambassador to Pakistan Hiroshi Oe stood for his country and signed the agreement.The likely grant would be used for provision of professional training devices in Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences and establishment of Technological Training Institute in Islamabad.Japanese ambassador said that more 20,000 people have died due to current earthquake and tsunami which have badly affected local economy; however, Japan has come out of this crisis and is prepared to assist its friend countries like Pakistan, he concluded.
