KARACHI (Dunya News) - The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) closed in negative territory on Friday as late-session selling erased early gains, pulling the benchmark KSE-100 Index down by 352 points.

The index initially gained more than 600 points after trading began, climbing to 168,134 points as bullish sentiment lifted market activity.

However, trading remained mixed during the session before selling pressure intensified towards the close, pushing the benchmark index down to 167,089 points.

The KSE-100 Index had closed at 167,441 points in the previous trading session.

Despite the positive start, the late decline left the benchmark 352 points, or approximately 0.21%, lower than the previous close.

The session reflected a reversal in market direction, with early buying interest giving way to selling pressure towards the end of the trading day.
