Summary Gold and silver prices increased in Pakistan, with 24-karat gold rising Rs11,200 per tola to Rs465,236 as international gold gained $112 per ounce.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Gold and silver prices increased sharply in Pakistan on Thursday, tracking a strong rise in precious metal prices in the international market.
According to rates reported by bullion markets across the country, the price of 24-karat gold increased by Rs11,200 per tola, reaching Rs465,236.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs9,602 to Rs398,864.
Silver also became more expensive, with the price of 24-karat silver increasing by Rs185 per tola to Rs7,044.
Meanwhile, gold prices recorded a significant increase in the international market. The precious metal gained $112 per ounce, taking the international price to $4,427 per ounce.
The latest increase in international bullion prices was reflected in Pakistan’s domestic gold market, pushing local rates substantially higher.
