KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) closed the final trading session of the week on a negative note, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index falling 346 points amid cautious trading by investors.

The index closed at 181,430 points, down 346 points from the previous session.

During the trading session, the index touched an intraday high of 181,647 points and a low of 180,620 points, reflecting continued volatility in the market.

Shares of 563 companies were traded during the session. Of these, 207 companies recorded gains, while 260 declined, with the share prices of the remaining companies staying unchanged.

Trading activity remained substantial, with approximately 710 million shares worth Rs34 billion changing hands at the exchange.

Despite relatively strong trading volumes, cautious investor sentiment and widespread declines pushed the benchmark index into negative territory at the close.
