India is set to produce a record 88.31 million tonnes of wheat in 2012, Farm Minister Sharad Pawar said on Friday, with recent coldwaves helping the growth of the crop.“I am not all worried about wheat production because the situation is good. Whatever the assessment we have made on production, there will be improvement. I don’t expect any problem,” he said.Early this month, the farm ministry in its second foodgrain production estimate projected a similar output for the main winter season crop.India, the worlds second biggest producer of wheat, produced 86.87 tonnes in 2011.
