LAHORE (Web Desk) - The Punjab Revenue Authority has released data for tax collection during the first three quarters of the current fiscal year.

According to sources, more than Rs250 billion in taxes were collected during the first nine months of the ongoing fiscal year.

In comparison, Rs181 billion were collected during the same period of the previous fiscal year.

Sources said that over Rs70 billion additional revenue has been collected this year compared to last year.

The data shows a significant increase in the income of the Punjab Revenue Authority.

A growth rate of 33 percent was recorded in March during the current fiscal year.

More than Rs30 billion in taxes were collected in March this year.

In comparison, Rs22.4 billion in revenue were collected in March of the previous year.
