SBP to announce monetary policy on Feb 11

Earlier, it was to have been announced towards the end of January. According to the spokesperson of the central bank, Syed Waseemuddin, the meetings to announce monetary police in 2012 will be held in the first weeks of February, April, June, August, October and December.This decision has been taken while taking into consideration the change in the Statistics Department’s schedule to announce statistics on inflation.The Governor of the State Bank will announce the monetary policy on February 11.Earlier, the said policy was announced in the last weeks of January, March, May, July, September and November.
