Summary Government issued new currency notes worth Rs 12.60 billion in first week of 2012 to meet expenses.
According to State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) data, the value of currency notes issued till the end of 2011 was Rs 17.15 trillion which has been increased by Rs 17.27 trillion within a week.During this tenure, shortage of Rs 68.27 billion was recorded with the State Bank in the deposit of the federal government.
