Summary Petroleum Minister says people should stay patient on gas outages for at least 6 months.
Federal Petroleum and Natural Resources Minister Dr Asim Hussain said gas crises is a major issue of the incumbent government, and assured that government would eliminate the gas crises within the next six months.Addressing a ceremony on Saturday, the Federal Minister for Petroleum said that mineral resources in the country are beyond our knowledge and by utilizing them energy crises would be eliminated from the country.He said that in this scenario, effort to acquire energy resources increase and sometimes results in wars between nations.Federal Minister said that current shortfall in the country is 1.8BCF. He assured that before his departure he would give roadmap to remover this 1.8BCF shortage.He said that different projects are in pipelines to control and undertake the energy crises in the country.Dr Asim said that there are possibilities that present set-up may not be able to defeat the energy crises from the country, however efforts to eliminate the energy crises would be fruitful for our successor government.At this occasion, he announced to regularise the employees of SSGC within a week.He said that government is facing difficulties to control the gas and electricity theft, however it is our collective responsibility to curtail such elements.He said that government would face the issues but never escape from it. --Online
