Govt increase wheat price to Rs 1,050 per 40kg

A high level meeting held under the chair of Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani on Wednesday. The meeting decided to increase wheat support price from Rs 950 to Rs 1,050 per 40 kilogram for the next year. Now the PASCO will purchase wheat at Rs 1,050 during the next procurement.The meeting also decided to import one million tones of fertilizers to end the shortage. A committee will also be established to ensure the availability of fertilizers at control rates to the farmers.
