With the fluctuating gold prices, many investors would sit for a whole day inside gold stores, waiting for the right moment to buy and sell gold.Although the flood makes it very inconvenient to travel into the city, many investors would not miss the chance to make a profit on the recent gold prices. Some even rowed to the stores in order to trade gold. For those who really need to trade gold, flood wont affect them, said Jitti Tangsithparkdi, President of Gold Traders Association of Thailand. On a street less than three kilometers long, there are over one hundred gold stores and each are packed with investors. According to some gold store owners, on October 26 when the gold price soared, many investors, standing in water around 30 to 40 centimeters deep, queued outside the entrance of the gold stores.Thailand is the third largest gold trade market in the world, partly due to their custom of wearing gold as accessories during holidays and important events.
