Summary Pakistan stands first in gas losses throughout the world despite operation against gas theft.
Gas losses of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines are more than 11%. Present management has claimed that it has brought down gas losses by half percent.According to the international standard, the OGRA gives permission of gas loss by 7%; if it exceeds by 7% , the Sui Northern has to face loss of Rs 4 billion. On the other hand, the consumers have to face the burden of tariff due to gas losses.
