Summary Most companies registered in real estate sector followed by information technology and trade
LAHORE (Dunya Investigation Cell) – As many as 25,319 new companies were registered in the first 11 months of the fiscal year according to the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).
The total companies registered under the SECP rose to 194,466 and 3,059 companies stopped working in the country in the last fiscal year. Most companies were registered in the real estate sector followed by information technology and trade.
Moreover, 99.8 per cent companies registered online, 58 per cent as private limited, 39 per cent as single member companies and only three per cent as limited liability partnerships and foreign companies.
In terms of companies registered in the outgoing fiscal year, the real estate sector recorded 3,691 new companies while the engineering had the minimum 450 companies.
As for the departments, 23,244 companies were registered with the FBR, 731 with the Employees Old Age Benefit Institute and 503 with the Excise and Texation department.
